Viennese Games in the 2026 One Page RPG Jam

The One Page RPG Jam 2026 is coming to an end and people around me have been busy! I’m not sure if the game design community around me is growing or if I’m just meeting the right people now, but it definitely feels like there are more and more games being released around me! I have collected those I know of here and hope you’ll see something you like and maybe leave them a review, comment or maybe even a donation.

Any Questions?

Game Designer: weglasern

In “Any Questions?” you will simulate a press conference and that pitch alone got me interested already. One player will be holding a presentation while the others will be playing journalists heckling the presenter. It is suggested to do “Powerpoint Karaoke” by searching for a random (non-AI) powerpoint presentation, which i think is a hilarious idea. The game is generally full of great humour and I can recommend it warmly to any group with at least one person extroverted enough to hold a spontaneous presentation.

Broken Nights/Minds

Game Designers: sev.fyi, narax

Itch Link: sevfyi.itch.io/broken-nights-minds

A game about recovering your memories the morning after a crazy party. It’s played in multiple phases that involve scouring your actual play space for clues, before you can piece your memory fragments together as a group. I love games that use unique mechanics and it sounds like a fun game to play spontaneously and could even considered to be a party RPG. The layout looks amazing and you should keep an eye out for more amazing content from these game designers, it feels like they’re just getting started.

Galaxy Ops

Game Designer: CrowberryCake (yours truly)

Itch Link: crowberrycake.itch.io/galaxy-ops

My first submission, Galaxy Ops is a sci-fi game that is totally not inspired by the TV series Stargate. The idea for the game has been in my head for a while now, along with a lot more ideas for a longer type of game, but I thought why not get it out there as a small game for now! It’s about exploring distant (often inhabited) planets from your home base and can both be played as a miltary crew (as suggested by the genre) or as a different type of crew of your choosing (e.g. a crew not from earth or with a different or no employer). It can be played with the knowledge of the TV series, but just as well with your own setting.

Gletscherschmelze

Game Designer: CrowberryCake (yours truly)

Itch Link: crowberrycake.itch.io/gletscherschmelze

My second submission, “Gletscherschmelze” (german for glacier melt) is a game that comes from close to my heart. It is a GM-less worldbuilding game about melting glaciers and what is lost when they are gone. I wrote the game as a reaction to a glacier in my home country, the Pasterze, being feared to lose its glacier tongue in the summer of 2026. I made this game as a reminder that something beautiful, we once thought eternal, is dying.

I tried not to make it (too) teachy or preachy and instead focused the main part of the game on the life of the glacier and all the memories it made. But in the end it will die and my playtests did become quite emotional.

I also got help from Erik Pöhls with the art and layout and I absolutely love what he did with it.

Maki Master

Game Designer: sev.fyi

Itch Link: sevfyi.itch.io/maskimaster

Written by one of the co-authors of the previously mentioned “Broken Nights/Minds”, Maki Master is a game that can be played with exclusively a set of takeout maki. I was lucky enough to have been in the playtesting group and it was absolutely hilarious to drop little splashes of soy sauce on our character sheet or throwing chopsticks in order to randomize things. And once again, an absolutely amazing layout.

Motobellator

Game Designer: Prussion Blue Teardrop

Itch Link: pbteardrop.itch.io/motobellator

In “Motobellator” you play as a crew of a 12 meter high Napoleonic steam mecha. It features an (on purpose) chaotic dice system that seeks to emulate that the mech is highly unstable and complex to manage. If alternate history, mechs and/or steampunk are your thing, I can recommend this game.

Nine Secrets

Game Designer: wellevorkanagawa

Itch Link: wellevorkanagawa.itch.io/nine-secrets

“Nine Secrets” is a game where you tell the story of one person’s life by revealing secrets about them, each secret tied to a decade of their life (or any other length of time, when using the optional rules for considerable longer or shorter lifespans). I especially love that it uses story dice, because I know quite a few teachers and they all seem to have them! It seems like the perfect game if you’re itching for an emotional experience or if you want to warm up you imrpov skills before a game.

Vampire Padel RPG

Game Designer: Prussion Blue Teardrop

Itch Link: pbteardrop.itch.io/padel

A game about vampires playing padel tennis for the first time, probably because they’re incredibly bored. It encourages friendly banter between the characters and is a fun little improv game inspired (among other inspirations) by what is in my opinion one of the best vampire media: What We Do in the Shadows.

Honorable Mentions

Some more games submitted to the jam by people in (mostly german-speaking) communities close to me.
